Microsoft to discontinue support of Windows XP

Microsoft has announced that as of April 8, 2014, they will not release any further security patches for the Windows XP operating system.

After this date, automatic updates will be discontinued.  Your PC will no longer be considered secure and as such, will no longer be HIPAA compliant.

You will need to either upgrade your Windows operating system or purchase new equipment with a support version of Windows.

If you continue to use the XP operating system your computer will still work, but it will be more vulnerable to security risks and viruses.
